March 13, 2012 1 comment

Syracuse center Fab Melo has been ruled ineligible to play in this years NCAA Tournament due to an eligibility issue. This puts the Orangemen at a very vulnerable position. Their zone defense is anchored by Melo being in the middle to block shots and rebound. Without his presence Syracuse is going to rely a lot more on their depth if they plan on making a deep run in the tournament.

NCAA Rankings – “Week 17″

February 27, 2012 1 comment

The Kansas Jayhawks probably has the biggest win last week by defeating at the time number 3 Missouri Tigers in OT after being down 15 in the 2nd half. This propelled the Jayhawks into the top 4 of the rankings heading in to the last week of conference play. A lot is still up for grabs though, as all potential number 1 seeds for the NCAA Tournament there is about 6 teams fighting for the final 2. Right now only Kentucky and Syracuse are pretty much a lock for number 1 seeds. Of course all that can change in a hurry, once again all we can do it sit back and watch it all play out. I love this time of year.
