The 2012-2013 NBA All-Star starters were announced tonight for the Eastern and Western conference which was voted on by NBA fans world wide. This years All-Star game will take place in Houston from Feb 15-17.

Miami Heat 2012 NBA Champions

Congratulations to the Miami Heat for winning the 2012 NBA Championship. The Heat defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 to capture the franchises 2nd title in 6 years winning the series 4-1. LeBron James was named Finals MVP and deservedly so, almost averaging a triple-double throughout the NBA Finals. Read more.

Nike+ Basketball

Nike has extended their Nike+range with two new shoes coming out. One is a basketball shoe and the other a trainer. The shoes will feature a clever pressure sensor built into the sole that works with the existing motion tracking technology to provide details that weren’t previously offered by the Nike+ system, such as jump heights and other useful factors. This technology will be can be used with iOS devices and anything else that is compatible with Nike+. The release date for these new shoes is 06.29.12. No word on pricing yet.

This past Saturday Chris Paul held a Charity All-Star game for his CP3 Foundation with the likes of LeBron James, John Wall, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Rudy Gay, Josh Selby, Kyrie Irving, Steph Curry, JR Smith, Mario Chalmers. NBA 2K12 Explains LeBrons’ Rating Being Higher Than Kobe
So last week the makers of NBA 2K released all of the player ratings which caused some uproar. LeBron James and Dwayne Wade were both ranked ahead of Kobe Bryant. Now of course this raised some eye-brows but personally i don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Anyhow 2K has been catching some flack over these ratings and has decided to explain their reasoning behind Kobe being only a (96) along with some other player ratings that have the 2K nation talking.
