If Kobe Goes, Will The Rest Follow?

Over the last couple of weeks the number of NBA players choosing to go overseas during the lockout is growing. Now one of the leagues Top Tier players maybe just heading in that direction as well. Lakers guard Kobe Bryant said yesterday that it’s “very possible“ he will play in Italy during the NBA lockout, adding the country feels like home because he spent part of his childhood there. It seems to me that a majority of the big name players are just waiting for that one person to make that jump and go before the rest follow suit. I know David Stern is not happy about this and the NBA certainly doesn’t want to see their biggest stars go elsewhere to play during this time. Then again what else is there left for them to do, there’s only so many charity games they can put on. At this point it’s only a matter of time.
