The 2012-2013 NBA All-Star starters were announced tonight for the Eastern and Western conference which was voted on by NBA fans world wide. This years All-Star game will take place in Houston from Feb 15-17.

LeBron James Wins 3rd MVP Award

Miami Heat forward LeBron James has won his 3rd MVP Award in the last 4 seasons. A source close to James said that he was contacted by the league offices today about winning the MVP and will be presented with the trophy by commissioner David Stern on Sunday afternoon in Miami before Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semis’s against the Indiana Pacers. James enters some very elite company with his 3rd MVP award with the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Moses Malone. The votes will for this years award will be revealed on Saturday, with the like of Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant as the runners up. Of course i would believe LeBron would trade in all of those MVP Awards for a NBA Title. Let’s see if he can finally get the job done.

Team Philly vs Goodman League Highlights
This is as close to NBA action we’re going to be getting for a LONG time as the lock out continues, so we might as well enjoy it. Team Philly and Goodman League faced off for a game this past weekend featuring John Wall, Kevin Durant, Lou Williams and a host of others. Team Philly won the game 174-167.

Chris Paul All-Star Charity Game Highlights
This past Saturday Chris Paul held a Charity All-Star game for his CP3 Foundation with the likes of LeBron James, John Wall, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Rudy Gay, Josh Selby, Kyrie Irving, Steph Curry, JR Smith, Mario Chalmers. Here is a full highlight reel from the game which apparently is being called the best game of the Summer, courtesy of Ball Is Life.
Goodman League All-Stars vs Melo League All-Stars

This past Tuesday night in Baltimore on the campus of Morgan State University, Carmelo Anthony had put together a charity game between his squad “Melo League All-Stars” and Kevin Durants’ ”Goodman League All-Stars“. They gym that holds about 5000 people max was left to standing room only. All the proceeds from ticket sales went to charities that the New York Knicks are affiliated with. LeBron James and Chris Paul also came along to play for “Melo League All-Stars” along with a host of other notables. Durant ended up dropping 59pts in the highlight filled showdown but in a losing effort 149-141. Here are the top highlights from the game.
Kevin Durant aka Durantula Going HAM at The Rucker
How could I not post this video of my 2nd favourite basketball player in the world (if you don’t know who the 1st is then your clearly not focused, i’ll give you a hint: The Black Mamba). Anyhow, since the players have SO much extra time on their hands with the NBA going through a Lock Out KD made an appearance at the world famous Harlem Rucker Park. Let’s just say he made his street presence felt, dropping 66 points including a 4th qtr explosion of long range bombs. Is it me or does he not have some “Mamba” in him, i’m just saying.
